Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for over 20 years. Her most well-known role was that of Skyler on the AMC drama Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding supporting Performance on a a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She played Jean Ward and Martha Bullock, respectively, in The Practice. She was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in the year 1968, Anna Gunn fell in love with acting during Preparatory School, before her family moved to Ohio in the late 1970's. She attended the British American Drama Academy and was a theatre student in the theatre department at Northwestern University. Anna started out in Chicago and worked in theater roles for many years. After that, she relocated to Hollywood where she started acting in TV shows and films. In 1992 Anna got her first major character in the role of Arden in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. The actress continued to make appearances as an actor in number of television series and movies, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue up to the end of 90's when she appeared in a recurring role in the role of Jean Ward in The Practice. She was cast as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons throughout the decade of 2000. Skyler was her role as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad. Also, she starred in the Deadwood film and Sully. Gunn also took to the stage to play in the David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. Gunn acted as Numbered Days, a four-part audio show that premiered set in 2022. Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's relationship with Skyler. Walter White's life tale and the tension in the marriage he shares with Skyler is mirrored in the television show.
