Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, popularly referred to by the name Ashanti was born on 13 October the 13th of October, 1980 at Glen Cove New York United States. She is a singer and actress of her native United States. The talent of Ashanti was discovered when she was a teenager. She was signed to Murder Inc. Records, in 2002. Ashanti made an appearance on The Fat Joe's What's Luv? She also appeared on the Fat Joe's hit song"What's Luv!" and the Ja Rules' track Always In Time Both of them were huge hits. The songs of Ja Rule include Foolish (number one) as well as What's Luv! at number two. The second spot is ours. the day of her birth right here. Ashanti Shequoiya, more popularly known as Ashanti is a native of New Yorker born in Glen Cove, New York on the 13th of October 13, 80. Tina Douglas' mother was an instructor in dance as was Ken-Kaide Douglas. The father of Ashanti Douglas was a vocalist. She is the eldest and she has a Kenashia Shia who's her younger sister. Douglas named her after her mother, the Ashanti Empire located in Ghana in which women ruled and influence and Douglas was hoping for Ashanti to follow the same model. James, her grandfather, was a leader in civil rights during the 1960s, who was along with Martin Luther King Jr. Her mother was impressed by Ashanti's talents after hearing her sing Mary J. Blige Reminisce. Ashanti appeared on screen when she was a kid on Spike Lee's Malcolm X which aired in 1992. Ashanti also had an important role in Ted Demme's Who's the Man? Some of her appearances were in music video clips including K.R.S. Act One's MC's"Like They Don't Know" and 8 Off's Ghetto Woman. Ashanti was sought out and signed by a variety of recording labels, including Bad Boy. She also had a few cameos in music videos. Even though she was receiving no major breakthroughs however, she continued to play throughout New York. Ashanti appeared originally on the track of Big Pun,"How We Roll, as a back singer. Her other appearances include The Fat Joe's song What's Luv? and Ja Rule's Always On Time. It's her debut single Foolish contains a sample from the song by DeBarge called Stay With Me. Ashanti made her debut album, which was titled "Ashanti" in 2002 under Irv Getti's Murder Inc. Record Label. The Declaration The fourth studio album was released June 3, 2008. Hey Baby After the Club was released on 16 October for radio and digital outlets. She appeared as a character in the Christmas in the City film and played Latasha on Army Wives. The song she sang Rock wit U was sampled by British artist Aitch to record his song Baby in March 10, 2022.
