Amanda Brugel

Pointe Claire, a quiet area located in The West Island of Montreal is what you might call a "sleepy" place. The West Island has a lot of diverse communities. People who have never heard of it often think it is a separate, west-facing island. Amanda Brugel grew up on this island, and it is often known as the place where she was born. It is true that she resided there for a very short time. Brugel was raised in Courtice close to Oshawa Ontario. Early ambitions were to become a dancer. Then, a growth spurt caused her to outgrow every dance partner she had. An article in the Toronto Star article revealed she's 6ft 1in tall in heels. As I grew older than my male friends, I quit. Dancers who have been in the past often switch to acting, and in the instance of Brugel, it was an urging from her teacher of drama. It was her teacher who advised her to audition for the role of Anne in their annual school production. The teacher who suggested she go after a role in the annual school production. It was the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship led her to York University, where she completed her studies in Theatre and graduated with an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts in the year 2000. For the last twenty years, her work has been featured on both the small and big screen. Her work gained most recognition when she landed her part as Rita in the acclaimed television show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel played the role of Rita in the Handmaid's Tale which was filmed over ten years ago.
